Sponsored Symposium by HeritX

“Generations of Hope”
An educational and interactive session about the future of BRCA cancer prevention.

In addition, this year we are holding a special session at 16:00 for BRCA affected families to have direct input into prevention research. This will be conducted by HeritX (www.HeritX.org), a nonprofit research organization that brings the voices and needs of families with BRCA mutations into the center of prevention research.

This session, called “Generations of Hope”, will explore possibilities for future therapies to prevent BRCA cancers. Today, surgery is the only option for preventing BRCA cancers. While many women do choose this route, removing breasts and ovaries and enduring the consequences of surgical menopause, BRCA families deserve better options.

HeritX’s Prevention Advocacy Network (“PAN”) bridges the gap between the needs of families and the work being done in the laboratory with the goal of discovering new ways to prevent BRCA cancers without surgery. Generations of Hope will present information on cutting edge research that is underway, including information about our vaccine prevention program. This will include an interactive discussion to solicit your input into future prevention options with a focus on your preferences and desires.

Please join us at 16:00 for this educational and interactive session about the future of BRCA cancer prevention. This is your opportunity to help shape the future.
